General Information and Policies
Registration is required for all classes. Payment must be received to ensure enrollment in a class. The town of Pearisburg reserves the right to allow participants into a class without prior registration.
Unless otherwise noted, class participants must be 18 or older. Teen cooks (ages 16 and up) and preteen cooks (ages 12 to 15) are welcome to participate in adult classes with consent of instructor/chef. Please contact Lynne Hazelwood at 540-921-0340 if you have a teen or preteen who would like to register for an adult class.
Kids classes (ages 5-10) are hands-on. Adult chaperones are required to stay in the class or in the parking lot for the duration of the class unless otherwise noted. Parents are not required to register unless they wish to participate in the class with their child.
Open to all ages classes are geared to student's age 12- adult. Kids ages 5-10 may participate for a reduced fee with a registered parent.
Participants in beer or wine tasting classes must be 21 years or older.
Menus are subject to change because of the availability of seasonal ingredients. Students should be dressed with safety and comfort in mind. Please wear closed-toe shoes, shirts with fitted sleeves and remove any jewelry. Long hair should be pulled back.
HOW TO ENROLL
Register online at www.pearisburg.org. Click on the Farm to Fork link to locate the registration form or call the Pearisburg Town Office at 540-921-0340. You may also stop by the Pearisburg Administrative Office for assistance and information about the Farm to Fork cooking classes.
Checks payable to the Town of Pearisburg, cash or MasterCard/Visa. No payment can be taken over the phone. All credit card payments must be made in the office.
If a class has insufficient enrollment (5 or less participants) it will be cancelled 24 hours in advance. We will contact you by phone or email and issue a full refund/class credit for the cancelled class. Some classes will be rescheduled due to circumstances out of our control. If this should occur you will be contacted with the future date or refunded if you are unable to attend a rescheduled class.
To avoid being charged the full price of the class; cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before the day of the class. To cancel your spot in a class, contact Lynne Hazelwood at 540-921-0340. A full refund can be issued if requested AT LEAST 48-HOURS prior to class. We will, however, accept a name transfer if you would like to fill your slot for the class with a friend, family member or colleague up to the date of the class.
