Welcome to
the Pearisburg Police Department's World Wide Web page.
I am Jackie Martin and I have had the honor of serving as
Pearisburg's Chief of Police since October 1998.
We are a full
service, 7 officer, 1 civilian department that takes great
pride in offering high quality, highly trained and
well-equipped professional customer service to our nearly
2,800 citizens.
We are committed to being the best small town Police
Department in the Commonwealth. Being a small town
Police Department, we take a personal approach to policing,
with most citizens calling officers by their first names.
Our officers
are well equipped with modern tools of the trade and are
highly trained in many facets of law enforcement to include
crime prevention, first aid, child seat installations,
criminal investigations, crisis intervention and crime scene
investigations.
We are
committed to the continual improvement of our services and
ask for your input to help us achieve our goals. Our officers
are available 24 hours a day and you will find them willing
and capable of serving your needs. The police are dispatched
by the Giles County Sheriff's Office. The Town is served by
E-911.
I am proud of
the officer's accomplishments as they put forth an enormous
effort to keep Pearisburg and it's citizens as safe as
possible. Officers will endeavor to provide these
services in a courteous and professional manner that will
preserve public confidence in our democratic process.
