The Pearisburg Parks and Recreation Department is in the Pearisburg Community Center on Wenonah Avenue. The department oversees the recreational sports for the town utilizing the gym at the community center, Macy McClaugherty Elementary/Middle School, and the two ball fields at the community center park. The department also manages the town pool and assists the town with facilitating community events.
The department is headed by full-time director, Scottie Potter, and employs numerous part-time and seasonal hires.
